Set on the 4th floor of Singapore 's hippest Art design Hotel, Zenden is the perfect place for a value for money power lunch, or even a cozy little gathering amongst loved ones. Classic menu with a contemporary twist, dining at Zenden is an exciting and exhilarating affair, with many twists, turns and surprises. Tease your taste buds with a sampling of fantastic fusion food at unbelievably affordable prices.
The Vibe Modern in design and décor, Zenden has once again proven why Gallery Hotel remains undeniably one of the hippest locations in town. Setting a new record in architectural and interior design, the restaurant melds the contemporary and the quirky effortlessly. Expect dark furniture, clean sleek lines, and a zen-like aura as you step into the marbled-tiled restaurant. Unique and minimalist in décor, the ambience transcends the hip. The creative and post-modern interior will no doubt excite diners anticipating the great feast that awaits.
The Food The Zenden Semi-Buffet Lunch ($23+++) promises a feast of gastronomical delights specially prepared by the Hotel's executive chef William Koh. Running 7 days a week from Mondays to Sundays, the semi-buffet lunch menu changes on an ad-hoc basis in accordance to the culinary taste and creativity of the chef. The semi-buffet offers a soup of the day and a wide spread of enticing starters and mouth-watering desserts. For buffet appetizers, to name a few, savor the succulent and tangy tandoori chicken with mango salad or try the juicy poached prawns with fragrant garlic sauce. After this tasty preview, head on to the main course which Chef William has lovingly created - four hearty and delectable choices for mains, served fresh and piping hot from the kitchen. Delicious and tantalizing, enjoy the wonderful fusion dishes with Asian and European influences. Select from a list of four, including the flavorful oven-baked chicken breast with tomato tarragon sauce. Tender meat, bursting with flavors of onion, tomatoes, sweet sauce and spice. Meat lovers can also indulge in the succulent grilled ribeye steak with pepper hoisin sauce . The pepper adds a nice, subtle touch, bringing out the natural flavors of the meat, rather then overpowering it. Opt for the palatable Pan-fried Salmon fillet with Sweet Mustard Sauce for a fresh alternative. The mustard sauce gives the thick fillet a tangy twist that leaves a sweet, pleasant aftertaste. Dessert lovers will not be disappointed with the dessert buffet counter, offering a nice range of sweets from dainty cheesecakes, to moist, luscious slices of tiramisu and the creamy summerberry cake.
The Service Warm and amiable, the service staff were exceptionally attentive, overseeing our needs and meeting requests promptly, befitting the status and quality of a hotel. Such friendly service immediately brightened up the entire meal.
The SD Food Advisor's take on Zenden Cool and designer chic, Zenden is the location for a fuss-free lunch affair, or perhaps even romantic dinner date. Like the hip art hotel it resides in, dining becomes an art form with Zenden. Lights come low during dinner, as amazing, tantalizing entrees and mains are delivered to your table. Great food coupled with romantic serenades from Zenden's resident Violinist Dong Dong, adds a touch of class to a sumptuous dinner. Where hip meets functionality, the Zenden gastronomical experience is one not to be missed.
