About the restaurant:
In terms of the ambience and decorations, I was rather impressed with the setting and design intent of the restaurant.
Ordered Food:
Ala carte buffet which comprises of sashimi, cooked food which ranges from beef with asparagus, fried tofu, eel etc.
My verdict:
I was extremely disappointed with the treatment of the staff at Hanabi, Vivocity.
The first 2 servings of sashimi I ordered was fresh, but subsequently when I asked for the 3rd time, they served me salmon which was not as fresh as compared to the 2 other servings. The colour and taste was distinctly different from the first 2 servings I had.
I experienced the same treatment when I asked for a 2nd roll of softshell crab handroll. This time, the 2nd handroll had no cucumber and mayonnise in it. From the experience I gathered, what I felt was that the staff at Hanabi, particularly the vivo branch seem reluctant when they are required to serve customers more than 1 serving of the same food.
King's arcade is the branch I frequent most and I felt that there was no animosity, staff were friendly, servings were consistent, however after this bad encounter at vivo, it certainly made me think twice about patronising hanabi again.
