About the restaurant:
Arrived at 630 to a pretty deserted restaurant. No real issues with service, but there was only two tables between one staff, so hardly a fair test! Decor is best described as 'homely', furniture 'basic'. Ambience somewhat more like a cafe than a restaurant.
Ordered Food:
Skipped the stroganoff, took the borsch soup to start. Pale red, with sour cream - not objectionable but nothing to shout about either. Otbivnaya (pork slices, fried) were better - not overdone, large helpings, but best eaten with the accompanying mustard otherwise a tad bland. Also the mixed Siberian meatballs - best with the ubiquitous sour cream, slightly 'heavy' in texture. Skipped dessert as nothing looked terribly interesting.
My verdict:
Food style probably homely, food presentation simple. I can't claim for authenticity, but if you fancy trying something different, you can wander this way for a try.
About the restaurant:
We had to wait for 10 minutes before being received and shown to our table. And this was during a non-rush hour, with only another couple already seated inside.
