About the restaurant:
Set in dark earthy brown tones, the warm orange lighting of Phin's interior reflects a cosy and comforting setting, a place to sit and have coffee. Of course, there are choices between stiff-backed chairs and brown sofas that everybody wishes to crash in, but noticeably there were crumbs on those sofas which made sitting on them a little apprehensive, though comfortable nevertheless.
Ordered Food:
Despite it being named "Phin's Steakhouse", I was recommended the Beer Battered Fish & Chips ($18.90). A dish which surprises, indeed. It seems like Phin does not only specialize in juicy cuts of steak I see served to every table, but their beer-battered fried fish oozes a heavenly combination of fish oil with a twinge of beer flavour in it. Quite unlike the normal Fish & Chips served in other restaurants, these Beer Battered ones are crispier and just as fresh, with a generous serving's worth as well.
My verdict:
With budget steaks and great seafood to top the menu, Phin's Steakhouse has certainly placed itself in the league amongst the top steak restaurants, frequently populated by hip youngsters. Their operating hours till late serves as a good night-spot to chill in the name of good company.
