About the restaurant:
Simple in design and with a homely feel, this two-storey cafe is just the place to have a cuppa, to relax, to study, to get-together with friends and play board games - anything at all. With dining tables on the first floor finished with a choice for alfresco dining, the second storey seems like an attic hide-out. Cleopatra yourself on long sofas or simply lounge in their lush arm-chairs and enjoy a chat session or laugh your day off with board games and great company
Ordered Food:
Their scones ($2.50) are a must-try - oven-baked warm served with a choice of butter, jam or cream cheese - these scones are buttery in taste, crusty on the outside and heavenly soft once broken into bite sized pieces. Dab a generous swab of cream cheese and it will suddenly seem easy to polish off the entire cookie-pot's worth of scones.
For main courses, the pastas are done simple yet intoxicatingly delicious. Aglio Olio - done with garlic and olive oil - brings out the essential of basic ingredients at its best, and restaurant owner Don whips up a mean plateful of pasta.
Tea Party being "tea"-party, spoil yourself silly from the wide selection of teas. From fruity blends to herbal concoctions and tempting ice-cream delights, there is a drink for every unique personality. Ask the friendly restaurant owners for recommendations and be guaranteed satisfaction.
My verdict:
One of the better few places to chill out at Sixth Avenue, this cafe provides a ideal hideaway from the hustle and bustle of work, school and everything else. The reasonably priced menu showcases all kinds of tea as well as standard coffee orders, all of which hit an above-average standard. This place is popular amongst students in the day, and the general population in the evenings. It certainly spells "second home" to all alike.
